![]() ![]() I've seen some benchmarks and the Lenovo's CPU is not astoundingly superior to the 2015 MBP's (around 10% faster), the biggest difference is that the Lenovo has a dedicated GPU. On the other side I have a Lenovo Legion Y520 with an Intel i7 7700 HQ (Quad Core 2.8 GHz), 16 GB RAM, 256 SSD and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (4 GB) GPU. On the first side I have a Mid 2015 MacBook Pro 15" with an Intel i7 4770 HQ (Quad Core 2.2 GHz), 16GB RAM, 256 SSD and the CPU's integrated graphics card (Intel Iris 5200 Pro). I'm a 2nd year Industrial Design student and I use my current MBP mostly for daily use such as surfing the web, YouTube, writing essays, research and stuff like that + 3d modelling for my product design projects on Fusion 360 and maybe a few renders on Keyshot (I have my brother's fully decked out desktop PC if I need to push heavy rendering). ![]() Hello everyone, I'm about to upgrade my Mid 2012 MacBook Pro 13" (Dual Core i5 2.5 GHz, 10GB RAM) and I'm on the fence about two different notebooks. ![]()
